I really appreciated the friendly staff and the excellent food, especially the fish finger sandwich that hit the spot after a long day of exploring nearby attractions like Cragside House and Gardens, which was just a short drive away.

Couples looking for a cozy stay should consider this
Had a fantastic dinner, I ordered a rather tasty lasagna and my partner got this gluten-free burger, and let me tell you, it was hard to find a good gf meal but they nailed it. Plus, the bar staff were just delightful, even though it was busy, they found us a table in no time.
Not exactly inexpensive, but for what we got it was acceptable.

the location was super close to where we needed to be which was great. the carvery was amazin, really good quality n tasty, totally worth it just for that! the staff were super chill and friendly even tho it got busy with a club group. room was comfy and clean, loved that!
only complaint was the parking was a bit tricky when it got busy. also, the bathroom had a weird smell, like stale water, which was kinda gross.

I spent a weekend at The Village Inn, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The cozy vibe of the place really drew me in, especially the delicious fish and chips. The burger options were also impressive! I felt welcomed with warm greetings from the staff and a prime view from my room. the noise from the pub below was pretty disruptive at times, especially during the late hours. It kept me from getting a peaceful night's sleep given how much I enjoyed the rest of my stay. this place is a gem, and I'd definitely revisit, hoping for a quieter experience next time.
